COVID-19 SAFETY RULES

According to the CDC, vaccination plus wearing masks are the best way to deter COVID. One can sign up for vaccination here, or visit our COVID Prevention Guide Page here. Complete PA COVID Resources are also here.

MLCCC will impose the following hygiene rules to protect the safety of our people and community, especially our children who are 12 and under (without vaccination). We know this may be inconvenient for some but it is most beneficial to our children's safety. These are No-Exception Rules for the entire MLCCC Weekend School Community.

(1) EVERYONE must wear a mask while inside GVHS, regardless of whether you are vaccinated or not, whether you are an adult or child, whether you are a teacher or student, etc, with NO EXCEPTIONS.

(2) ANYONE who REFUSES to wear a mask is NOT ALLOWED in GVHS.

(3) Always BRING AN EXTRA MASK in case your mask breaks.

(4) We have thermometers and will be CHECKING TEMPERATURES at the front entrance.

(5) HAND SANITIZER and ANTI-BACTERIAL WIPES will be given to each class and Admin Desk / Hallway.

(6) Teachers will WIPE DOWN the doorknobs and other frequently touched surfaces in each classroom before starting class.

(7) Open windows to increase air circulation.

(8) Teachers will lead the students to WIPE DOWN THEIR OWN DESKS before each class.

(9) Students will SIT AS FAR as reasonably possible within the classroom.

(10) Anyone who has a FEVER or has SYMPTOMS will NOT be allowed into GVHS or be required to LEAVE GVHS.

(11) If anyone, including MLCCC's student, parent, teachers, or a family member thereof is tested positive for COVID, you are required to notify MLCCC School Admin right away so that immediate measures can be taken to perform contact tracing and containment within our community.

How to Wear a Face Mask the Correct Way

  1. Clean your hands. Before putting on your face mask, wash your hands or clean them with sanitizer.
  2. Grab the mask by the ear strings. The cloth part of your mask is the part that would come in direct contact with the virus particles, so you should handle your masks by the ear strings. This also applies when taking off your masks.
  3. Cover your mouth, nose, and chin with the mask. Only covering your mouth with a face mask does not completely protect you from spreading or becoming infected with COVID-19, because droplets infected with the virus can settle in your mouth and nose. “Most droplets come out of your mouth when speaking, but droplets can come out of your nose, too while breathing. That’s why people should cover their nose and their mouth,” Dr. Graham said.
  4. Check for gaps. A properly sized face mask will have minimal gaps under the chin and at the sides. Noticeable gaps between your skin and the mask can allow infected droplets to slip in and out.
  5. When removing your face mask, repeat steps 1 and 2. You wear your mask to protect yourself from harmful germs. Not taking proper precautions when removing your face mask could actually undo all that work that your mask did for you.
  6. Fold the outside corners together. This keeps any infected particles on the outside of your mask from spreading throughout your home, car, or wherever you take off your masks.
